Job Responsibilities

As the Senior Auditor, your primary responsibility will be to support the Head of Audit (HoA) by delivering a variety of crucial functions, including audits, regulatory validations, business monitoring, and risk assessment. Here are the key duties of the role:

• Leadership Support: You will cover for the HoA in local governance forums, ensuring effective communication of Internal Audit activities. You’ll also partner with senior management, including the Citi Country Officer (CCO).
• Audit Execution: Perform both local and international audits following Citi’s Internal Audit Methodology and industry standards.
• Regulatory Analysis: Stay updated on the regulatory landscape and emerging risks, adjusting the audit scope as needed to comply with regulatory expectations.
• Audit Reporting: Draft comprehensive audit reports, present findings to management, and suggest actionable corrective measures.
• Business Monitoring: Stay ahead of emerging issues by regularly monitoring the business, ensuring timely regulatory reporting.
• Risk Mitigation: Recommend solutions to address risk and control weaknesses across business operations.
• Collaboration: Work with internal audit teams to address findings and partner with the management information team to analyze audit data.
• Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, regulations, and ethical standards.

Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need a combination of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and leadership capabilities. Here are the essential skills and qualifications:

• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate complex information in written and verbal formats to all levels of management.
• Strong Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in analyzing data, with advanced skills in Excel and the ability to measure outcomes effectively.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional people skills for collaborating with senior management, colleagues, and regulators.
• Problem-Solving: A pragmatic approach to problem-solving with a forward-thinking mindset.
• Motivation: A self-driven and goal-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
• Experience: At least 15 years of post-graduation experience, with at least 10 years in the banking industry, including three years as a Senior Manager.
• Academic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS or equivalent) is required, with a higher degree or professional qualifications like ACCA, CIA, CPA, ACA, CFA, CISA, CAMS, or similar being highly desirable.
• Audit Expertise: Prior experience in conducting risk-based audits and presenting results to management is crucial.
• Global Experience: Familiarity with working in global teams and handling integrated internal audits across multiple regions will be advantageous.
