Job Overview:

As a Sales Supervisor at PZ Cussons Nigeria, your responsibilities will focus on ensuring the achievement of business objectives and sales targets for the assigned territory. You will be instrumental in delivering sales drivers’ objectives, such as distribution, visibility, pricing, and promotion, all while overseeing a territory that has the potential to generate over 1 billion naira annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Targets & KPIs:
    • Achieve sales objectives for the territory, including sell-in, sell-out, focus category, new product development (NPD) listings, and promotions.
    • Track monthly and yearly growth to ensure continuous business expansion and success.
  2. Distributor Management:
    • Regularly analyze and review distributors’ performance against agreed KPIs.
    • Work closely with the Zone Manager (ZM) to develop Joint Business Plans (JBP) for key customers in the territory.
  3. Stock Management & Financial Monitoring:
    • Ensure bi-weekly stocktaking to safeguard company resources.
    • Monitor and track distributor payments, posting, and matching, along with monthly account reconciliation.
  4. Debt Collection & Credit Control:
    • Ensure the timely collection of outstanding debts and implement strict credit control for key distributors.
    • Ensure purchases are done within approved credit limits.
  5. Team Coordination & Compliance:
    • Organize and coordinate the activities of floor sales merchandisers.
    • Maintain retail operating standards and ensure compliance across all showrooms in the assigned territory.
  6. Quality & Safety Management:
    • Actively contribute to the implementation and sustainability of Quality Management Systems.
    • Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper environmental practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: A first degree in any discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in marketing or sales, with proven success in delivering KPIs.
    • Experience in electrical-related companies is a plus.
    • Familiarity with PZ Cussons Way of Selling will be advantageous.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in basic computer applications.
  • Other Skills: Valid driver’s license and knowledge of field sales management and market intelligence.
