Job Overview:

As a Sales Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to meet and exceed agreed business objectives and KPIs for the assigned territory. You’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks including sales target achievement, distributor management, customer engagement, and resource optimization. The role demands leadership skills, market knowledge, and the ability to implement strict sales-driving strategies to ensure maximum performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve Business Targets:
    You’ll be expected to meet KPIs for the territory, including sell-in, sell-out, promotions, and new product development (NPD).
  2. Sales Driver Objectives:
    Managing distribution, visibility, pricing, and promotions will be crucial to your success in this role.
  3. Territory Management:
    You’ll oversee a territory capable of delivering at least 1 billion Naira annually, planning and executing strategies to meet sales targets and ensuring month-over-month and year-over-year growth.
  4. Performance Analysis:
    Regular performance reviews will help you track distributor effectiveness, ensuring goals are met according to established KPIs.
  5. Customer Engagement:
    Working closely with the Zonal Manager (ZM), you’ll develop Joint Business Plans (JBP) for customers, ensuring regular stock-taking and management of distributor payments.
  6. Credit Control & Sales Materials:
    Maintaining strict credit control for key distributors, ensuring purchases stay within the approved limits, and managing POS materials for effective sales execution.
  7. Team Leadership:
    As the Sales Supervisor, you’ll coordinate activities of floor sales merchandizers, ensuring compliance with retail standards and fostering a high-performance sales environment.
  8. Sustainability & Safety:
    A commitment to environmental sustainability, safety management, and quality assurance will be part of your daily operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education:
    A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in marketing or sales, with a proven track record of meeting KPIs. Experience in an electrical-related company is an added advantage.
  • Skills:
    Computer literacy is essential. A valid driver’s license and knowledge of field sales management are also required.
  • Knowledge:
    A strong understanding of business objectives, sales drivers, and market intelligence will be crucial in this role. Familiarity with PZ Cussons’ sales processes and the ability to manage relationships and structured calls will give you a distinct advantage.
