Job Summary

Pulse Nigeria seeks a Researcher/Scriptwriter to work closely with the in-house video team, crafting compelling and engaging business-related video content. The ideal candidate will have a talent for research and storytelling, ensuring all scripts align with Business Insider Africa’s audience interests and marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and develop scripts for Business Insider’s internal and client-based video content.
• Craft engaging documentary-style video scripts.
• Research trending business topics for video and podcast content.
• Develop podcast scripts and interview question guides.
• Fact-check all information in video scripts to ensure credibility.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new video formats.
• Assist with pre-production activities.
• Manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Maintain proper organization and safekeeping of research documents.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients.

Required Skills and Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in research and scriptwriting for branded video content.
• Strong portfolio of video scriptwriting work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides, etc.).
• Highly organized, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
• Passion for storytelling, media, and business reporting.
• Experience with on-screen presenting is a plus.
