Job Overview

As the Procurement Officer – Technical, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring technical equipment, materials, and services essential to RusselSmith Group’s operations. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, you will ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality technical products and services that meet organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for technical equipment, materials, and services.
• Purchase Orders: Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining accuracy.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and deliver value to the organization.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with technical teams to understand procurement specifications and requirements.
• Order Tracking: Monitor orders and ensure timely delivery, resolving any issues or delays as they arise.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier information, contracts, and purchase orders.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in technical procurement.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of technical products, equipment, and services.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Software Proficiency: Experience using procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Attention to Detail: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry regulations.
