This initiative, part of the Building Community Resilience Through Agribusiness Development project, aims to empower local farmer cooperatives by providing secure office spaces and training facilities.

The FO centres will be established in Gombi and Michika Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring farmers have access to essential tools, training, and resources. A crucial component of this project is the installation of 1.5Kva solar power units, which will provide sustainable and affordable electricity to support training sessions, meetings, and office operations.

Key Details of the FO Centre Set Up

1. Project Objectives

  • Provide a safe space for farmer cooperatives to conduct meetings, training, and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure secure storage of valuable FO equipment.
  • Establish a reliable power source through solar energy, reducing operational costs.
  • Support income-generating activities for farmers.

2. Scope of Work

The project will involve:
✅ Identifying suitable halls or structures for the training centres.
✅ Assessing security conditions before finalizing rental agreements.
✅ Installing 8 complete sets of 1.5Kva solar power units across selected locations in Hong, Gombi, and Michika LGAs.

3. Deliverables & Timeline

  • Completion of the FO training centers setup, ensuring a fully functional space for farmer activities.
  • Full installation of solar power systems in the identified centers.
  • The entire process is expected to last four (4) months.
