Job Overview

As a Business Development Executive at STS Worldwide Shipping, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, expanding the company’s market reach, and fostering strong relationships with clients. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, your primary responsibility will be identifying new business opportunities, acquiring clients, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify business opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Analyze competitors to develop strategies that give the company a competitive advantage.

Lead Generation & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and engage potential clients through networking, cold calls, and industry events.
  • Present proposals that showcase the value of STS Worldwide Shipping’s services.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Act as a primary contact for key accounts, addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.

Strategic Business Development

  • Work with senior management to create and implement growth strategies.
  • Develop partnerships and alliances to expand the company’s market presence.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities.
  • Prepare reports on client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • New Client Acquisition: Number of clients secured per quarter.
  • Revenue Growth: Contribution to quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Market Expansion: Success in penetrating new market segments.
  • Client Retention Rate: Customer satisfaction and repeat business levels.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within shipping/logistics.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of the shipping and logistics industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
  • Understanding of shipping regulations and compliance standards.
