Job Overview

The Head of Warehousing will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic and operational plans for the company’s warehouse network. The successful candidate will lead SAP rollouts across Nigeria, optimize warehouse processes, and ensure compliance with global safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Management

  • Develop strategies to enhance warehouse efficiency, from inventory management to order fulfillment.
  • Ensure full compliance with international safety and legal standards.
  • Implement cost-effective measures to improve warehouse performance.
  • Monitor warehouse metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Strategic Warehouse Projects & SAP Implementation

  • Lead major warehouse transformation projects, including automation and process redesign.
  • Oversee SAP Warehouse Management System (WMS) rollouts across the company’s network.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to integrate advanced technology solutions.
  • Drive warehouse expansion and layout optimization in line with the company’s growth strategy.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing warehousing team across multiple locations.
  • Develop training programs to ensure employees maintain efficiency and safety standards.

Supply Chain & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to align warehousing with business goals.
  • Coordinate with regional and global supply chain teams for optimized operations.

Cost Management & Budgeting

  • Develop and manage the warehousing budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Job Requirements

📌 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Social Sciences.
📌 Experience: 12-15 years in supply chain roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
📌 Certifications: Professional certifications such as APICS, CSCMP are highly preferred.
📌 Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in warehouse management software.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Warehouse Modules.
  • Proven track record of leading SAP rollouts as a Project Manager or Warehouse Lead.
